Chandler is back!!

She choked on a goldfish and cried, THEN grandpa thought to get the camera out. She still smiles whenever you bring out a camera though.

Thanksgiving

Our T'giving was spent with family and friends and very enjoyable. New convection oven did the roasting in record time, so we ate earlier than expected, but all was yummy and the majority of us overindulged. Went to see the movie Australia on Friday while the ladies went to the casino in Anderson, they shopped a bit on Saturday...ok, Sue shopped a whole lot, and Tammy and Karla joined us for BBQ and cards on Saturday night. Was an enjoyable weekend and our house seems empty and quiet now.

Hope everyone reading this enjoyed their holiday!

Our Little Annie

I'm so sorry to report that our little Annie has passed away. Not really sure what went wrong, but she was very tiny, only half the size of her brothers and as hard as they tried, she just didn't make it. Nature can be cruel and we are so sorry not to have her in our family, we were looking forward to getting her.

Jake goes to vote

Jake went to vote, unfortunately, he wasn't registered. The night before the election Mom and I had a conversation with Jake about voting. Here's how it went:

Jan: Jake, are you going to vote tomorrow?
Jake: I don't know, do you want me to?
Jan: Are you registered to vote?
Jake: I don't know, how do I do that?
Jan: Well, first of all, tell me who you would vote for.
Jake: I don't know, it's a tough decision.
Jan: Do you know anything about Obama or McCain?
Jake: Nope, not a thing!
Mom: Maybe he doesn't NEED to register to vote!!

I say he's in the same boat as the rest of us.
Jake took this conversation as an indication that he should go vote and he went and stood in line, like all good Americans did, and was turned away.
We'll get him registered for the next election for sure!

Special Olympics Gold medal winners

Once again, the Hamilton County Big Dawgs can't be stopped.
They walked away with another gold medal and some big smiles.
Zachary, front middle, was awarded MVP for his great plays!

This week's "Jakeism"

Mom, Milford, Jake and I are all eating dinner the other night. Mom tells Jake this place has great cookies...they are to die for. Jake looks at her funny and says "Grandma, I don't want to eat a cookie that I have to die for." That's our Jake - Mr. Literal.

My Spider Pumpkin

I made this last year for Halloween and thought
it was worth getting another year out of. Got the
idea from a craft booth at the Earth Festival in Atlanta, IN.

What a cute lil' face

Weighing in at a massive 1lb, 3oz, our lil' Annie is s
ure gonna seem teeny next to Fawn, Jorja and Jynjer.
We may give her two extra weeks with her mommy so
she gets a real good headstart.

Jyl's new "Trash"

Isn't this the cutest pic? New barn dog where Jyl works/lives that they got at an Amish auction. I love that the Amish auction dogs! His name is White Trash (Trash for short) cause he looks like that mix you make with pretzels and nuts and white chocolate. Cute!!

Annie Puppy

Here's the newest pic of our littlest baby, not sure which one she is, but I'm worried that they are looking like Rottweilers instead of tiny, little yorkies.

And here's Annie's parents, Jewell (the gray, bigger one) and Jasper (the little lion-y looking one)
