Here's a picture of Jess and Jyl after their trip to check out new colleges in KY. Jyl will have trouble denying I'm her mom, I didn't notice how much until I compared her to the pic below and to the side. WOW!! poor girl

Lacey and Jan

Hard to believe it, but this is my gorgeous niece Lacey. She's 14 already. We always enjoy our time with her. After our dinner, her and I went to visit Grandma for a bit. Grandma was also impressed by how grown up and pretty Lacey is.

Jake and Cookie

Two weeks ago it was really cold here, like 17 degrees and windy and icy. That was the day Jake decided to ride his bike to PetLand. He loves to visit the animals there. That evening, I was painting and Mom was keeping me company. Jake comes down and says he has a surprise for me and it's in his room. I asked if he cleaned his room. No, that wasn't the surprise, the surprise is a "creature". Oh crap!!! Creature could mean lots of things with Jake. While he is upstairs collecting this item to show us, I guess that it's a fish, mom guesses hamster. Well, Mom was right, it's a hamster. A Mini Roboromski. Tiny little thing, cute as can be. I ask Jake when he got it, he says earlier today. When I ask him how he got it home, he looks at me like I'M crazy and says, "In my backpack of course". I'm sure this poor little thing is near death and close to popsicle state, but as you can see by the pictures below, he's doing just fine. Jake was trying to come up with a name, Brownie was the first round choice but then I threw Cookie in the ring and Jake grabbed it. We did have a discussion with Jake about how there can only be one cookie because if we get another one and it's an opposite of Cookie, we will end up with lots of little crumbs.
